LUKE'S QUICK HISTORY
Luke Masters is a strange card in the deck of the Immortals. He was the apprentice to a storyteller in his Celtic tribe at the end of the Bronze Age. He was content to tell stories and compose poetry until a raid by neighboring Etruscans burned his village to the ground, slaughtered his people, and left him laying on the ground with a war spear in his chest. His next years were spent searching for the raiders, the feel of a borrowed sword unfamiliar in his hands. He was captured by Mycenean slave traders in Italy and sold into slavery in Memphis, Egypt, coincidentally to the Immortal Ramas, the vizier to the reigning pharaoh. The rest of his life has been an interesting case study. Luke keeps to himself, speaks softly, but when provoked he destroys with as much ease as he creates the poetry he still writes. A master of both words and steel, he wanders the world with a fierce intentness, striving for the Prize.
